winter trees

I went for a walk in the park on Tuesday to snap some shots of my favorite trees. I've been visiting them regularly for the past year to document the changing of the seasons, including the changes within each season (i.e. green leaves, foliage, bare fall branches, snow-covered, spring buds forming, flowering, summer green). I have a few more left to capture, and then I will create a piece that incorporates all the pictures in some sort of timeline or overlay.

Let me tell you, I'm going to wait for a warmer day to shoot the snow covered trees, because these trees require a bit of a trek given they are deeper into the park, and only accessible by foot. I was thinking it'd be really fun to snow shoe out the next time! We'll see though.....I was bundled up from head-to-toe this last time and was so cold that I was in pain. If you've experienced that type of bone-chilling, aching cold in New England, you feel me! I love the winter, but it can be brutal when you are walking on a windy day! All in the name of photography though! I seem to be eternally insistent upon temporary discomfort when it yields something that will last forever.
